It's time to put the saddle on...
... because the Broncos are about to join Team OGV.
I took a writing class a few years ago wherein one of the techniques to create tension in a story is to start a clock. It doesn't matter how long the time-frame is, but just have time running down in some way and you'll have built in tension in every action.
The clock just started on Boise State.
How's the recruiting going to go for next year? How many scholarships can you give for unskilled positions?
This is the year guys. You know it, coach knows it, gamblers know it. It's time to get those votes.

The first liveblog in the long history of this esteemed Gambler's Blog
Greetings, folks. Let's get right to the meat:
-------------------------------------------------------
12:44pm
So there's a lot of action out there today. I pretty much Chiefed it all over the roulette table with today's selections. Want to see a list of the games I bet on? Go here.
Mississippi State/Auburn. I took the under and State to cover. So it's a good thing the score is currently 21-21 in the second quarter. Way to punt, guys.
Michigan State. Easy there, fellas. I love betting the underdog in these huge spreads (this was 32.5) because even if you go to half down 27-0 (which is happening), there is still a chance. It's like when Homer became a boxer. Maybe the Spartans are all tired out and will just try field goals in the second half. It's like garbage time has already begun, so who knows? Maybe Florida Atlantic has a great recruiting class of freshmen and they just need time to warm up (note: this is definitely not the case).
Toledo trying something. Anything. They went for two on their first score... and nailed it. Since then... let's just say there is quite the talent difference between tattoo artists in Columbus versus Toledo.
I'm sorry, I must be mistaken. It seems Norfolk State is leading West Virginia in the second quarter. That can't be true... because I just made up the name "Norfolk State" just now.
------------------------------------------------------
5:09pm
Note to self: the entire rest of the year will be lived by one credo: Bet Penn State Unders. Their "quarterbacks" are absolutely awful. Their defense is awesome. Joe Paterno stays in the booth, but so do BOTH of their offensive coordinators. Which makes relaying plays down to the field a circus show each and every time.
Oregon has reaffirmed themselves as the first Gas Pedal Team of the year. Will Boise join them?
Sometimes, when two SEC teams play each other, the score DOESN'T end up being 7-3. But you know what? Miss State plays LSU, and I'll be damned if I won't get pulled in again.
------------------------------------------------------
6:25pm
UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, I didn't bet anything on the Gopher game today, but WOW. I don't know what this says about the rest of the season, but let's just say that I watched Perkins give up a dong in the bottom of the ninth for the loss, only to immediately flip over to the Gopher game and see THAT
In other, non-seizure-related news, TCU does not like the gas pedal this season. They get into 3rd gear and set that cruise. I saw it on Patterson's face... they were up by 21 points late in the 4th, and that was just fine with him. Last year he would've been screaming at children to pump up the score. The inverse of that is Oregon, who got the over by themselves. Nice to know some things never change.
Also, Arkansas is playing a "home game" at War Memorial Stadium, in Little Rock. Come again? I had no idea this existed. A quick check on Wikipedia indicates it is the "Razorbacks' secondary home". THEY HAVE TWO STADIUMS. It took Yudof throwing the entire state under the bus and a fired coach to get one in Minneapolis, and U of A just goes ahead and has two. Is football big down there, or?
